NOW YOU CAN...
Monitor your CO2 output more accurately
Tracking your CO2 output is now more important than ever. Whether you want to reduce your carbon footprint, operate your machines more efficiently or save on fuel costs, our new LiveLink CO2 monitoring feature will help you achieve your sustainability goals, whilst also having a positive impact on your bottom-line. It’s a win win!
So, how can LiveLink help you achieve this?
Whether you’re using LiveLink to monitor your JCB machines or have connected your entire fleet through our mixed fleet integration*, LiveLink records the CO2 output of your machines.
You asked, we listened! Previously the CO2 conversion factor was predefined, however, to provide more flexibility, you can now change this to suit you, tailoring it to your specific business, to provide greater control and tailored reporting. With LiveLink you can standardise reporting across your organisation and now have the ability to customise your own CO2 reporting measurement be that well to wheel or tank to wheel. In addition, you can also change the units you’d like to view them in.
Your CO2 output is calculated by multiplying your fuel consumption with the CO2 conversion factor.
To change your CO2 settings simply go to Settings > Custom Analytics > CO2 Emissions
What benefits can monitoring your machines CO2 emissions have on your business?
Environmental Impact: Improving your CO2 will inevitably have a positive impact on the environment, as we all strive to help make a difference and reduce our carbon footprint.
Regulation Compliance: Depending on your industry and location some authorities may have emission regulations and carbon compliance requirements. By monitoring CO2 emissions, you can avoid any noncompliance issues or fines.
Resource Efficiency: Highlighting whether or not a machine is being used efficiently is important for ensuring your business is optimised. When tracking CO2 emissions over a period of time you’ll be able to establish a performance benchmark for your business and machines. This will allow you to compare current output against historical performance and help monitor future efficiency. By spotting a sudden spike in CO2 it might help indicted a potential problem, and ensure it’s fixed before anything escalates to prevent any downtime.
Cost Savings: Operating your machine more efficiently will ultimately help reduce CO2 emissions but also help reduce fuel costs, maintenance costs and overall running costs.
Improved Machine Performance: Optimising your machines to reduce CO2 often involves fine tuning their operation, which can lead to better performance, increase productivity and reduced downtime.
Reduced Maintenance Costs: Regular maintenance for your machines will not only help to extend your machines lifespan but also reduce downtime and lower repair costs, as well as increase the lifetime value of your machine.
Overall reducing your CO2 emissions not only benefits the environment but also help you reduce costs and improve efficiency. Remember to check the CO2 output of your machines using LiveLink and change CO2 conversion factor so that reporting is specific to your business.
